LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person in Louisville was recently confirmed to have West Nile virus.
The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness announced Friday that there is a laboratory-confirmed case of West Nile virus in a Louisville resident.
This is the first confirmed case of West Nile virus in 2025.
Due to privacy and confidentiality reasons, the department says it will not disclose any information about the individual.
There have been no deaths related to West Nile virus in 2025 to date.
