Lexington-Richland School District Five held a Groundbreaking Ceremony at Chapin Elementary School this week for a classroom wing that is being added to help accommodate a new educational structure the district will be implementing in 2026.
According to school officials, the new 12-classroom wing will replace 8 portables that were previously being used, allowing the school to increase its maximum capacity.
