SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - Temperatures across much of the ArkLaTex have been flirting with the century mark over the past few days. We may catch a very small amount of relief this weekend as the dry weather continues.

Weekend temperatures: High temperatures over the past few days have been in the upper 90s. The weekend will begin with lows Saturday morning in the mid 70s. We will try to shave a few degrees off the heat Saturday afternoon with highs in the middle 90s. Expect much of the same on Sunday.

Dry weather continues: The reason for the very slight cool down is the weakening of the large upper-level ridge that is dominating our weather pattern. It appears that we will probably stay dry this weekend despite this weakening. Futurecast shows that we will see a clear to partly clou
