EUGENE — Multiple changes were made to Oregon baseball’s coaching staff this offseason.
Hitting coach Jack Marder returns, pitching coach Matt Florer joined UO from San Diego and director of player development Brett Thomas was promoted to the coaching staff.
Each assistant signed a two-year deals earlier this summer, with Marder earning $235,000 annually, Florer earning $185,000 and Thomas earning $105,000 through June 2027, according to contracts provided to The Oregonian/OregonLive in response to a public records request.
It’s another salary increase in salary for Marder, who earned $226,000 salary each of the past two seasons, plus $20,000 in bonuses last season.
Florer is earning $10,000 less than Blake Hawksworth, who left for Oklahoma State, while Thomas will make nearly $50,00
