CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The family of 23-year-old Ryan Zadrozny is speaking out after a repeat offender was sentenced for killing him in a drunk driving crash in Charlotte last December.
According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation , hundreds of people are killed each year in crashes involving drunk drivers. For Zadrozny’s family, that statistic is not just a number. It is their reality.
“It was surreal … no amount of punishment is going to justify or do anything to bring Ryan back,” Kevin Wallace, Zadrozny's uncle, said.
