Police say a tip from the public helped them find a stolen truck that was loaded with other stolen goods in southeast Calgary last week.

Calgary police say they received the tip from a resident in the community of McKenzie Towne about a suspicious truck parked on Prestwick Estate Way SE around 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 1.

Officers arrived and found a truck with a number of items loaded in its bed.

Investigators confirmed the vehicle was stolen and the items in the back were also believed to be stolen. The items included power tools, three bicycles, a full set of rims, two generators and a printer.

The vehicle was towed and the owner has been notified it was found. Police are still trying to find the owners of the items in the back of the truck.
