LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Hot weather will continue right on into the weekend, with rain chances staying limited until we get to next week.

This weekend the very warm weather will stay the main issue for outdoor plans. Temperatures Saturday should reach the mid 90’s again with rain looking even more limited. Fortunately, the heat index may top out closer to 100 with a slightly drier east wind expected. Still, stay cool and hydrated when enjoying time outdoors.

Moisture will begin to increase on Sunday though rain appears limited to a few isolated thunderstorms. You should be able to get outdoor plans in this weekend though keep a watch the sky or the KPLC First Alert Weather App in case one of the storms moves over you location.
