HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — A well-known Mexican restaurant will be coming back to Hoover, albeit in a different location than its longtime perch along Hwy. 31.

Habaneros, a Mexican chain that has locations in Birmingham, Bessemer and Chelsea, will soon open a new location in The Centre at Riverchase on Hwy. 31, less than a mile away from Hoover Commons, where it had a location for years before closing earlier this spring.

The restaurant has been slowly revealing more information about its new location on its Facebook page with staff telling Birmingham Business Journal that tentative plans were to open in September.
