NEW YORK (PIX11) -- The next school year will be here before we know it, with less than a month to go now for New York City, where students return on September 4th.
Students are returning to a big rule change: no cellphones during school hours.
The statewide rule in New York, known as bell-to-bell, leaves it up to schools to determine how to implement the rule.
NYC Schools Chancellor Melissa Aviles Ramos explains the city's approach to the new law and answers other important questions heading into September.
