CENTRAL PARK, Manhattan (PIX11) – To be or not to be.

It was meant to be.

The newly renovated Shakespeare in the Park Delacorte Theatre is back in action for “Twelfth Night.”

It’s a star-studded cast under the stars, and its motto remains the same: free, for all, forever.

“I’ve been waiting for two years,” Rona Hunter, a Shakespeare in the Park fan, told PIX11 News, “But I’ve been here since 6:30 this morning,” she added.

Hunter was in a very long line filled with optimists, willing to wait up to 14 hours on standby to see Peter Dinklage, Lupita Nyong’o, Sandra Oh, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, among others, in Twelfth Night.

The earliest birds arrived at 4:30 a.m. to secure their free tickets at noon for this first production since the Delacorte closed in 2023 for renovations.
