ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Connected Communities hosted a ribbon-cutting today for a new neighborhood hub serving the Beechwood and EMMA neighborhoods.
The hub is a community-centered space designed to connect, empower, and uplift residents by offering essential resources and programs within walking distance.
"It's not a social service hub; it's a place where people of all different backgrounds and races can come together," said LaShunda Leslie-Smith, executive director of Connected Communities.
The neighborhood hub offers a variety of services, including youth engagement activities, space reservations for groups and meetings, and business center needs such as free printing, faxing, and computer access for residents.
