MIDLAND This week, the Midland Education Foundation awarded $134,700 to 54 Advanced Placement (AP) teachers at Early College High School, Legacy High School, Legacy Freshman High School, Midland High School, Midland Freshman High School, and Young Women’s Leadership Academy for their students’ high performance on AP exams.

The Foundation’s incentive program awards AP teachers $150 for each student score of 4 and $200 for each score of 5. In 2024, the program awarded just over $80,000. The district is proud of how much progress has been made in preparing students for AP exams. This year, the highest individual award was $7,850, a news release said.
