Chief Mike Gerke proudly announces the induction of eleven new police officers into the Odessa Police Department. The graduation ceremony took place Friday afternoon at the Odessa Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Congratulations to all the graduates!

Officer Alfredo Ayala Jr., 23, is from Odessa and hopes to be assigned to the Traffic Unit at some point in his career.

Officer Garrett Collins, 26, is from Odessa and is a U.S. Navy veteran. He hopes to be a future SWAT officer and homicide detective.

Officer Austin Evans, 21, is from Doyline, Louisiana and hopes to be assigned to Narcotics at some point in his career.
