Three to five named storms are forecast by AccuWeather to form before the end of the month within the Atlantic basin. Some of these potential storms are even being eyed for the possibility of developing into a powerful hurricane.

While a tropical storm could develop just off the Southeast coast of the U.S. in the coming days, meteorologists are not very concerned, given that a breeze will carry any developed system out to sea.

However, meteorologists are monitoring the potential for the development of a long-track tropical storm sweeping across the Atlantic Ocean as conditions for such development are forecast to improve near mid-August, according to AccuWeather.
