Pit Bull Stabbed While Protecting Owner During Long Beach Altercation

In the early morning hours of August 2, a pit bull in Long Beach was left seriously injured after being stabbed during a violent confrontation between its owner and another man. The incident occurred around 2:23 a.m. on the 300 block of Orange Avenue and was caught on video by Traffic News Los Angeles.

The footage shows an unidentified man holding a knife as he approaches two other men, one believed to be the dog’s owner. As the armed man raises his hand, the pit bull charges forward, seemingly trying to shield the people behind it. The suspect then lunges, striking the dog with the knife. Long Beach police later confirmed the pit bull had sustained a stab wound.
