FARGO — Dele Ondulate went 3-for 4 and scored three runs as Lincoln East (Neb.) beat Shakopee (Minn.) 16-6 in six innings on Friday in the winner's bracket of the American Legion Central Plains Regional at Starion Bank Field.
A big eight-run second inning set the tone for the game as Lincoln East (50-9-1) sent 12 batters to the plate.
Shakopee limited the Rugs to just one run before the second out of the inning before the floodgates opened. After Landon Moser was hit by a pitch with Bryson Rhodes on second, five straight hits, including a bases-loaded double by Carter Harmes, put Lincoln East ahead 8-0.
Logan Krosch went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Shakopee (32-6-1).
The Rugs play Harrisburg at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Greyson Bjorkman pitched five innings, giving up six hits and five runs
