WAUPACA COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) - Two people were killed Friday afternoon in a crash at the intersection of State Highways 22/54 and 110 in the Town of Royalton, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say in a press release that the crash happened around 2:16 p.m. when a westbound car on STH 22/54 attempted to turn south onto STH 110 and failed to yield to an eastbound pickup truck. The vehicles collided, causing a secondary crash with another pickup truck stopped at the intersection.

The car’s driver and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The eastbound pickup driver suffered a minor injury and was treated and released.
