GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) - The former Albertson's store on 12th Street across from Colorado Mesa University (CMU) is gone.
The demolition of the building paves the way for 200 new parking spaces to support CMU's growing enrollment and athletic department. The new parking will help with sporting events and for new residence halls and facilities. CMU states adding the spaces is cost-effective and beneficial for students and the community.
