TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Lafayette Hornets are set to swarm in 2025, as head coach Marcus Edwards is a fan of the talent his offense has out wide.

Ty Williamson also returns at quarterback for his senior season. Add that offense with a gritty defense, and you have a recipe for a physical, aggressive football team.

“I think we’re going to be a gritty football team which we’ve kind of hung our hat on but to see it come to fruition with some of the young guys it’s good to see,” said Edwards. “We’ve been heading in that right direction the last few years and I think we’re getting a little bit closer this year with that identity.”

Lafayette opens 2025 outside of Mayo, paying a visit to the Dixie County Bears on August 22nd.
