MINOT, ND (KXNET) — What defines a good athlete is not just their play on the field, but also their attitude when they're not playing the game.

Shayna Myshrall has been named the Absolute Honey Honeybee of the Year for her impact both on and off the field.

She was praised by the organization for her community involvement off the field and for setting a great example for her younger teammates. They described her as a great leader who is a favorite among fans and never says no to an autograph.

A six-year collegiate softball player who goes to Niagara University, Myshrall has proven to be a leader for the Honeybees, helping mentor the younger players throughout the summer.
