COOPERSTOWN, ND (KXNET) — An 85-year-old man from Hope is seriously injured after a crash that happened east of Cooperstown between a tractor and Peterbilt.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, on Thursday, August 7 at about 10:44 a.m., the 85-year-old was driving a John Deere Tractor, pulling a mower, and was mowing the roadway ditch, east of Cooperstown. He then pulled out onto the road and began backing into an approach.
At the same time, a Peterbilt, driven by a Finley man, was heading north and hit the left side of the tractor.
The driver of the tractor was ejected and suffered what authorities are calling serious injuries. He was then taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.
The Peterbilt driver was not injured.
The NDHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
