SANGER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A person was hospitalized after being assaulted with a deadly weapon in Sanger Friday night, the city's police department said.

It happened in the area of Faller and 5th streets, at around 8 p.m. Officers said a person was assaulted with a deadly weapon and was transported to the hospital - their status is unknown at this time.
