HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. - Justice served.

It was announced earlier this week that the man who helped gun down an honor roll student more than two years ago in Haywood County was found guilty.

16-year-old Christine Michael was in a car with friends following a high school basketball game when she was shot and killed.

"Hopefully, they won't be getting out," said Tiffany Michael, Christine's mother.

Tiffany said she had waited more than two years for this moment when Kevion Davis was found guilty of her daughter’s murder. The teen was shot and killed in February 2023 after a high school basketball game between Haywood and Ripley.
