SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — One man is behind bars on Friday after a pursuit with police that went from Dakota County, Nebraska to Sioux City and included shots reportedly being fired at officers.

The Sioux City Police Department (SCPD) said on August 8 at around 6:10 p.m., Dakota County Sheriff's Office deputies identified Daniel Wenzel, 38, was wanted on multiple felony warrants for parole violation and 3rd offense domestic assault.

Deputies tried to make a traffic stop on the silver Buick Century Wenzel, but he eluded them and a pursuit began.
