A memorial service for Laren Semanchik, a veterinarian who was killed by her former boyfriend on Aug. 1, will be held Saturday in Readington Township, according to her obituary.

Visitation hours will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Kearns Funeral Home at 103 Old Highway 28 in Whitehouse Station, her obituary says.

Semanchik, 33, of Pittstown and Tyler Webb, 29, of Forked River were killed by Ricardo J. Santos, 45 , a New Jersey State Police lieutenant, officials said.

Santos was later found dead in his car in a Piscataway park from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.

Semanchik graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology in 2013 and graduated from veterinary school in 2018, according to her obituary .
