STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — It’s one of Staten Island’s most unique and iconic contemporary homes: Modern, geometric, skinned in smooth concrete and finished with bold surface imagery. And now 775 Todt Hill Rd., the local real estate masterpiece designed by famed architect Charlie Azzue, has hit the market for $2.2 million.

“This is an exciting opportunity to own and reimagine a true architectural statement on Todt Hill,” noted the listing, which was posted on July 30 by Sari Kingsley, Real Estate in New Dorp .

Built in 1975, the home was designed by Azzue, a late-20th century designer, contractor and borough resident who, according to Advance/SILive archives , built houses and commercial buildings that were so unusual they stopped traffic. He died in 2018 at the age of 79.
