Thunderstorms with destructive wind gusts are moving through Nebraska and Iowa.

The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Burt, Dodge, Douglas, Saunders, Cass, Washington, Lancaster and Washington counties in Nebraska and Mills, Pottawattamie and Harrison counties in Iowa.

Meteorologist Caitlin Harvey says there is not a tornado threat with the storm. Emergency sirens are sounding for the destructive wind gusts.

Another round spotty thunderstorms is possible late in the day Saturday into early Sunday. Strong to severe storms look most likely after 10 p.m. Saturday for the Omaha metro.
