A man was brutally attacked in his own home by a group of masked men armed with weapons, a court heard.
One of those involved - 21 year-old Flynn Wilson - has now been jailed.
Wilson, Manchester Crown Court was told, was forensically linked to an axe that was left behind at the man's flat after the attack in Timperley, Trafford , on April 26 this year.
The victim, the court heard, managed to 'stumble' out of his flat and was treated at A&E for injuries including a cut to his forehead which needed stitches.
Wilson, of Carrfield Avenue, Timperley, was jailed for 30 months at a sentencing hearing on Friday (August 8).
He pleaded guilty at an earlier court hearing to violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. A judge also authorised a restraining order.
