Iconic British rocker Terry Reid has died.

He was 75.

According to multiple reports, Reid had been battling cancer.

“Terry wasn’t just a legend — he was a true original,” his label, Cleopatra Records, told USA Today. “His voice had that rare magic that could shake a room or break your heart in a single note. But beyond the voice, Terry was warm, funny, and utterly himself — always. Working with him was never just business; it was a pleasure, a lesson, and often, a bit of beautiful chaos.”

USA Today reported that Reid was once courted by legendary bands Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple.

Reid began his career in 1961 when he was just 15 and was active until this year. He postponed a fall tour due to his health issues.
