LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department detailed some of the damage following a severe thunderstorm that ripped through the Capital City early Saturday morning.
According to the department, 69 traffic signals have been affected by the storm.
The signals are flashing yellow, flashing red, or are dark due to several power outages in the area.
LTU said it is currently evaluating locations and time estimates for traffic signals to be restored.
Lincoln Parks and Recreation is also evaluating potential tree damage and is currently coordinating cleanup efforts.
According to the Lincoln Electric System outage map, more than 32,000 customers are without power across the city.
