A new season has arrive for the Dallas Cowboys. Obviously it is not the regular season, but at least we get something when the Cowboys take on the Los Angeles Rams in a preseason game. Don’t expect many of the Cowboys first-line players to make an appearance, but for the rest of the roster, staking their claim to a roster spot/role begins tonight.

One of the most interesting things to watch will be how Brian Schottenheimer will call a game on offense. We’re not going to see a lot more than a vanilla playing scheme. Still, we can start to determine much more about how the offense will look under Schotty.

Conversely, Matt Eberflus will be under the microscope for his new-look defense and its abilities to stop the run. He will also be dealing with a banged up secondary and will be trying to
