Detroit Lions defensive back Morice Norris, a former Fresno State Bulldog who graduated from Sanger High School in the San Joaquin Valley, was taken off the field in an ambulance on Aug. 8 during the Detroit Lions - Atlanta Falcons preseason game.
Norris appeared to take a blow to the head and neck area and laid on the field for several minutes before he was placed on a backboard and loaded into an ambulance.
Lions PR announced that he was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. Head coach Dan Campbell said the team received "positive information" on Norris in the hours after his injury.
