LSU running back JT Lindsey is suspended until the charge against him is resolved, his attorney confirmed to The Advocate on Saturday.
Lindsey, a freshman from Alexandria, is facing one count of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder after authorities accused him of housing two suspects in an Alexandria-area killing inside his dorm room beginning in late July. He turned himself in to authorities on Friday after LSU Police issued a warrant for his arrest.
Kris Perret, Lindsey's attorney, said the LSU tailback had no idea the two teenagers were wanted for murder, or any other crime. He would not have allowed them to stay with him, Perret said, had he known they were wanted before they were arrested on Monday.
