ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Louis County man was charged Friday in the fatal shooting of a man in North City.

St. Louis City Prosecutors charged 54-year-old Demetrice Ginger with voluntary manslaughter, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm. Ginger is being held in the St. Louis City Justice Center without bond.

The shooting happened around 9 a.m. Friday in the 2900 block of North Kingshighway . When police arrived on scene, they say they found a 50-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries. As of publication time, police have not released the victim’s name.
