Motorhome and campervan drivers are set to pay 80% more than cars to park in a popular region. East Devon District Council has hiked its overnight parking fees for motorhomes from £11 to £20.

At Maer Road Car Park, proposed improvements to encourage responsible tourism include installing a freshwater tap, as well as disposal points for shower, dishwater, and chemical toilet waste.

These facilities will offer added convenience for overnight visitors, as well as addressing concerns relating to the inappropriate disposal of wastewater by some visitors. New parking bay markings at Queen’s Drive Echelon will help visitors maintain a safe distance between vehicles when parking overnight.
