A historic A-listed church in the west end of Glasgow could be transformed into a community hall under new plans.

Hyndland Parish Church , on Hyndland Road, would be turned into a multi-purpose space featuring a bar and restaurant if an application to planning chiefs is approved.

G12 Holdings Limited hope to turn the Victorian-era Gothic style church, designed by William Leiper, into a vibrant cultural hub open seven days a week catering to 'music and the performing arts' including choir recitals as well as exhibitions and conferences.

It would also feature a cafe and restaurant called The Kingsborough - serving the 'best of Scottish produce and provideoptions for private dining and corporate use'.
