Logan - The walls are up and ready to develop the store for Target, but it took under two years for the walls to start going up.

While tearing down the Cache Valley Mall, construction needed to tear down the building in the most safest way to not get debris on the road or to nearby business.

Construction crews used recycled concrete material from the Cache Valley Mall for new walls.

Mike DeSimone is the director of community development for the city of Logan.

“They did that on site," DeSimone explained. "They were able to grind it up, and they've used that for other things. The steel gets recycled, taken out, recycled, and then they try to recycle other materials. And whatever's left goes to the dump."
