LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A Lincoln couple is recuperating after Saturday’s strong winds knocked a tree onto their home. A tree so big, it needed a crane to come and move it.
For Theresa and Ken Roeloffs, their Saturday morning alarm was a tree collapsing onto the roof of their home.
While they said the recovery process is expected to be long, they will be staying positive.
Thunder and wind rolled through Lincoln Saturday morning, forcing the community into clean-up mode.
The Roeloffs day started around 5 a.m. with an usual sound.
“A very large boom and it shook the house and so immediately we of course woke up, jumped up and I thought to myself we need to get down as quick as possible,” Theresa said.
