LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - This week, 10/11’s morning anchor, Megan Conway, is celebrating a big milestone in her family.

Her daughter Aurora had her first day of kindergarten.

While nerves and big emotions are normal for both parents and little ones on the first day of school, little Aurora was ready and looking forward to learning and making new friends.

With mom and dad by her side and her new Barbie backpack, Aurora set out for Maxey Elementary.

Max the Mustang, Maxey’s mascot, was there to welcome the school’s new learners.

“Aurora is very outgoing,” Conway said. “She knows no strangers; it’s easy for her to make new friends. So I think she’s very excited to meet new people and learn.”
