JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — Magic was in the Jonesborough air Saturday night as Tennessee's oldest town celebrated Harry Potter's birthday.

The Wizardly World of Jonesborough transformed the downtown area into Diagon Alley, complete with over 20 vendors selling authentic Harry Potter merchandise like butterbeer, Fizzing Whizzbees and Liquid Luck.

Guests strolled through the area in their school robes, making stops at the Oak and Thistle Wand Shop, Crooked Broom Tavern, and Hagrid's Hut. Since it wasn't quite cold enough for Hedwig, she sent other owls in her place for the celebration.

Kaylie Vaughn (Dobby), a resident of Johnson City, said that the guests at the celebration are all "supportive and friendly" towards one another.
