LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash in southwest Louisville.

The crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the 131000 block of Dixie Highway.

According to LMPD’s preliminary investigation, a woman was driving southbound on Dixie Highway when for an unknown reason, she crossed into the northbound lanes striking another vehicle head-on.

The impact of that crash caused the woman’s vehicle to hit a pickup truck also traveling northbound.

The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The man inside the vehicle struck head on died after his arrival to the hospital and the pickup truck’s driver refused medical attention.
