M5 traffic has been stopped in Devon due to a serious crash.

It happened on the southbound side of the motorway at around 10.10am this morning (Sunday, August 10)

An air ambulance has landed.

Traffic is being held between junctions 28 and 29.

National Highways said: "The #M5 southbound between J28 #Cullompton and J29 @Exeter_Airport is closed following a serious collision.

"All emergency services attending including @DevonAirAmb Diversion details to follow."

Traffic monitoring site Inrix said: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident, overturned vehicle involved on M5 Southbound from J28 A373 Honiton Road (Cullompton / Service Area) to J29 A30 Honiton Road (Exeter / Honiton)."
