INDIANAPOLIS — The Boston Crusaders won their first DCI World Championship title over the weekend at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis.
Performing their 2025 show "Boom" in the DCI Finals, the Crusaders ended the competition with a score of 98.425 — just .175 points higher than the Bluecoats .
The Crusaders first made the finals in 1999, but this is the first time they have won a DCI title since being founded 85 years ago in 1940.
The last time DCI had a first-time champion was in 2016 when the Bluecoats won the title. The Bluecoats also won the championship last year where they defeated the Crusaders by more than a full point.
In third place, the Santa Clara Vanguard scored 96.700 .
