INDIANAPOLIS — A 25-year-old woman is facing charges after allegedly selling drugs to a man resulting in his death in Indianapolis.
IMPD said officers reported to an overdose in the 2700 block of Plaza Drive , near Michigan Road and West 86th Street, around 3 a.m. April 12.
When officers arrived on scene, they found 25-year-old Tanner Ballard overdosing. He was later pronounced dead.
Police said IMPD's Overdose Death Task Force (ODTF) then started investigating Ballard's death and were able to determine that 25-year-old Carolyn Laucher sold Ballard the drugs.
Detectives found Laucher in the 700 block of Shepard Street , near South Belmont and Oliver avenues, on Aug. 8.
Laucher was arrested and charged with dealing a controlled substance resulting in death.
