CHICAGO — Several members of Indiana's House Democrat Caucus are headed to Chicago on Wednesday to meet with State Democratic lawmakers from Texas.
Those Texas lawmakers have been staying in Illinois for the past several weeks trying to avoid a vote in the state legislature on redrawing the state's congressional districts.
Indiana lawmakers could face a similar vote if Governor Braun calls a special session for the purpose of redrawing Indiana's map of congressional districts.
Last week, Vice President JD Vance came to Indianapolis to meet with the Governor and Republican House and Senate leadership.
Governor Braun said the topic of redistricting came up and characterized the discussion as a good, but one, where no commitments had been made.
