KALAMAZOO, MI — In March 2019, Anthony Ozomaro murdered his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Nikkole Riojas in her Charles Street home in Kalamazoo.
Despite being arrested almost immediately, it would be five years before his case went to trial, and he would be found guilty of second-degree murder.
In May 2024, Kalamazoo County Circuit Judge Kenneth Barnard sentenced the now 38-year-old Ozomaro to a minimum of 100 years in prison.
