MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Tennessee man is accused of shooting his wife but stopping for beer on the way to taking her to the hospital for treatment.

What we know:

According to a Facebook post by the Shelby County District Attorney's Office, 51-year-old Decarlo Pitchford pulled the trigger on his wife last month.

The victim told authorities that she was being blocked from leaving, and when her husband shot her, he said, "I told you to stop playing with me."

Prosecutors said Pitchford took his wife to the hospital for treatment, but stopped for beer along the way.

He's charged with second-degree murder, domestic assault, and felon in possession of a firearm.

He's currently being held on a $350,000 bond.
