BRISTOL, Conn. (WFSB) - A man was placed in custody following a stabbing at a nightclub in Bristol on early Sunday morning.

At around 3:10 a.m. officers were called to the Rumba Lounge located on East Main Street after a report of a disturbance in the parking lot, the police department said.

When crews arrived, they saw multiple people leaving and were not able to find anyone who had any involvement in the disturbance.

Police then were notified that a 32-year-old man went to a local hospital for treatment after being stabbed in the disturbance.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Following a thorough investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect involved as 29-year-old Matthew Tillbrook of Bristol.
