MONTGOMERY – The Washington Lady Hatchets golf team made an early season statement with a win in the Washington Invitational at Country Oaks on Saturday.

WHS won with a 331 in the 15-team event, and provided the co-medalist. Hatchet Grace Hickey posted a 74 for the tie with Memorial's Abby Shires, but lost in a sudden-death playoff.
