CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Beach-goers heading to Cleveland’s lakefront will find favorable conditions Sunday, with both Edgewater and Villa Angela beaches reporting good water quality and comfortable swimming temperatures.

Morning water quality tests conducted on Sunday by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) showed both beaches meeting safety standards for bacteria levels.

NEORSD added that water temperatures at both locations are hovering in the mid-70s, with Edgewater Beach recording 73.8 degrees and Villa Angela Beach slightly warmer at 73.9 degrees. The temperatures were measured using Virtual Beach 3.0, a modeling system that predicts bacteria concentrations from environmental data.
